Green Gold Forestry Ltd is a UK registered company dedicated to sustainable forestry. We understand that the World's resources are limited but that some of them - timber in our case - are sustainable if managed properly. Our approach is realistic. We know that there is a huge demand for timber and that the timber trade will continue. Therefore we have an opportunity to participate and make sure that the impact of forestry is minimised and that good management secures the future of the forests.

At GGF we have brought together a group of professionals with a combined experience of many years in forestry, business and finance:

  • Professionals with a wide range of hands-on practical experience in managing forests and woodlands around the world.
  • Technical experts who bring their scientific knowledge of tree management to the team.
  • Business people with knowledge of markets, demand, supply, promotion and international trade.
  • Financial experts who understand economics, fund management, banking and FSA regulations.

The Directors of GGF are:

  • Gareth Hughes OBE who has many years of experience living and working in Peru and has been involved in forestry there for 5 years. He has knowledge of sustainable forestry, certification and forest operations.
  • Stephan Gagnon MSc Fin. who is a Chartered Accountant with senior audit and tax experience. He later moved into Corporate Finance and Fund Management and was a founding partner of Stargate Capital Management Ltd. Stephan also understands the forestry having been associated to forestry companies in Canada.
